The Role
This is a highly challenging but rewarding role for the right candidate with excellent career prospects. The Print & Distribution Manager is primarily responsible for managing and maintaining the production and distribution lifecycle of all Habitat Nationwide Publications. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, the role involves leading a team of Distribution Agents and developing new distribution channels while maintaining existing ones. They will be working closely alongside the Editorial Team and the Operations Manager.
The Person
The Habitat Nationwide Print & Distribution Manager will have excellent organizational and strong negotiation skills. They must be tenacious, presentable, assertive and possess both excellent oral and written English necessary for effective communication.
They must be innovative in their approach, have a good understanding of existing and new print technologies and be able to keep abreast of new developments in the print and publishing industry. They must also be flexible, able and willing to travel at very short notice to identify research, assess and report on new and existing distribution channels on a weekly basis. This may include occasional out of hours and weekend work.
Qualifications
The Habitat Nationwide Print & Distribution Manager will be educated to a degree/HND level at a minimum. Graduates with additional training or professional certifications in a related good advantage.
Required Knowledge
1. Must be knowledgeable and familiar with lithographic printing processes such as plate making, color separation, paper types etc
2. Knowledge of Heidelberg printing equipments
3. Printing material pricing and costing
4. Knowledge of digital printing processes
5. Excellent local knowledge of Lagos State
6. Excellent local knowledge of Abuja (FCT)
7. Good knowledge of Ondo, Ogun, Oyo, Rivers and Cross River States
Required Experience
A minimum of 2 years hands-on experience in a print or publishing company with direct exposure to lithographic print processes (pre-press, production and post press) or distribution lifecycle or both is required for this role.
Representing a company employing the convergence of Internet, Print and Digital technologies, the Habitat Nationwide Print & Distribution Manager must also possess the following:
• Experience of liaising with 3rd party vendors and distribution firms
• Team leadership qualities and ability to mentor a small to medium-sized team
Additional Skills
• Ability to work in a team and to strict deadlines
• Ability to schedule and manage own workload, develop own leads and follow through to completion
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
• Ability to follow instructions and set guidelines
• Ability to use own initiative to resolve complex and sometimes urgent printing & distribution issues
Remuneration
Up to N720, 000 GROSS PER ANNUM (depending on experience) + use of company pool car + transportation allowance + bonuses.
