Since 1998, IFES has implemented a capacity-building program in support of the professionalization of Nigeria’s electoral process. IFES is designing a program to further the consolidation of democracy in Nigeria
through initiatives in the areas of election technical support, voter registration, and civic education.
• Provide technical assistance in identifying appropriate technologies to address the needs for identification and validation of all eligible voters as well as detection of fraudulent or multiple registrations.
• Review the condition of existing voter rolls and their viability in forming the basis of a new list;
• Provide technical assistance in bringing the registry up to acceptable standards;
• Reviewing of forms and information flow from the point of registration to the data processing unit;
• Compiling registration data into a consolidated and accurate registry;
• Devising timelines and implementation plan of the voter registration project within the context of the larger electoral planning and system design;
• Monitoring strategy, design of formats and analysis of the reports;

Qualifications
Candidates applying for Information Technology Positions must possess a minimum of BSc or equivalent [2nd class upper div or upper credit] in Computer Science or Information Technology.
